I'm Matt Murphy, editor of WoodenBoat magazine.
WoodenBoat, the magazine for wooden boat owners, builders, and designers, is located in Brooklin, Maine. A bimonthly publication, it has a worldwide circulation of 90,000, and dual, sometimes competing, editorial missions: 1) preserving the traditions of wooden boat construction, and 2) promoting new techniques of building and repair. The magazine also occasionally covers related crafts--ropework, bronze casting, and such. Learn more about the magazine at www.woodenboat.com.
This blog is a place to sound new ideas off readers; to celebrate more cool boats, places, and people than the magazine's space constraints allow; and to simply think out loud. Comments are encouraged.
