You've likely heard by now that PRIDE OF BALTIMORE II was dismasted last week off the coast of France. The mass of rigging that fell to her deck was astounding--judging from photographs--but more astounding is the fact that nobody was hurt, and that the vessel was brought safely and quickly to Port. That's a testament to the professionalism of the PRIDE crew, and to the leadership of Captain Jan Miles.
A couple of those PRIDE crewmembers were keeping a blog of their experiences aboard, and have continued to do so throughout the dismasting and its aftermath. Click here for a deck-level account of the accident and preparations for repairs.
